Sažetak
In the frame of study electron transfer reaction between two metal centers the use of 2, 2-bipyrimidine chelatong ligand for synthesis of (Co(en)2(bpm))(F3CSo3)3 was planned. However, the synthesis ended with the product charactterized as the title compound. It turned out that the bpm batch of Lancaster Synthesis was not chemically pure substance and unintentional complexes (I and II) were obtained. They were charactterized by X-ray structure analysis in order to offer the explanation for unusual "reaction path".
