Sažetak
The purpose of this paper is to explore recent situation in Croatia regarding the stage of the development of social entrepreneurship Based on secondary research sources, evolution of administering survey to social micro, small and medium sized enterprises in Croatia, this study outlines position and development trends in social enterprises ecosystem and give short overview of the transition process in state and development of social enterprises in Croatia and the process of creating political and economic environment favourable for the culture of social entrepreneurship development. In that sense, a comprehensive assessment of the maturity of the social enterprises ecosystem in Croatia has been carried out, identifying characteristics of social enterprises and addressing the challenges for social enterprises development.
