Sažetak
This paper represents an overview of certain key aspects of social entrepreneurship that have been the subject of research done within the framework of the iPRESENT project, funded by the Croatian Science Fundation. This paper shows the data for 2015 collected for the purpose of creating a social entrepreneurship database. The actors in the area of social economy and social entrepreneurship have been the subject of research in Croatia for the past three years, which led to certain conclusions abou the area ove a longer period of time. Additionally, the current position and state of social entrepreneurship in Croatia is analysed, especially pertaining to the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship in Republic of Croatia 2015 - 2020. And finally, the position of social entreprises in Croatia and how they are treated within the context of Croatia's institutional and legal framework is compared to the factors and categories used in research of the sector on the European level.
