Sažetak
The Book of Proceedings, , , Youth and News in Digital Media Environment. Nordic-Baltic Perspectives“ edited by Yvonne Anderson, Ulf Dalquist, Jonas Onlsson is divided into three thematic sections and fifteen chapters. The first part focuses on the role of civil society in literacy among young in Sweden and Estonia, whereby there are analyzed through case studies youth preferences related to news consumption on digital platforms, as well as their involvement in the media content production process. In the second part of the volume, the importance of media organizations in the contemporary media scene is questioned. How to bring news to children and young people and get them interested in consuming informative content, how to ensure more youth participation in the media, can chatbots contribute to this, and what model has applied the Swedish public service media in order to get closer to young people? These are just some of the questions this unit is trying to answer. Finally, the third part analyzes the news use among young people in several countries - Estonia, Sweden and Norway, in terms of socioeconomic status, use of social networks and the diversity of other media channels on the market.
