Sažetak
This paper is a presentation of the results of a research study conducted in Croatia (N=128). The results point to significantly higher levels of shyness among monolingual than among bilingual learners. A significant negative relationship between shyness and achievement in speaking EFL was established in monolingual but not in bilingual learners.
