Sažetak
Many Croats currently live in the Diaspora, with a large group of Croatian immigrants now living in the United States of America. In this paper, only this group of Croatian immigrants was the subject of research. This paper analyzes the individual opinions, thoughts, experiences and attitudes of Croatian immigrants in the United States of America according to the country of origin, the Republic of Croatia. The process of creating an image is very complicated and depends on various factors. Image is a very broad term, and includes the sum of all impressions, beliefs, ideas, individual opinions that the individual has on an object, place, or destination. The image can be positive, neutral or negative, good or bad, constant or variable. It may affect tourism, investment, economy, politics, but also affect the promotion of Croatians to Europe and the world. A survey conducted among Croatian immigrants living and working in the United States, refers to the image of the Republic of Croatia beyond the borders of the Republic of Croatia and enriches the current state of knowledge and contributes to a broader understanding of the phenomenon of image and raises more new questions and provides impetus for further research.
