Sažetak
This paper examines how metaphors are translated by student interpreters. The corpus consists of recordings of speeches in English and students' simultaneous interpretations of those speeches in their mother tongue, Croatian. Among the aspects being examined are types of metaphor translation solutions used by the student interpreters, parameters potentially influencing the choice of a particular solution, problems and strategies in the interpreting of metaphors.
