Sažetak
In this paper, the author examines the basic characteristics of the scientivic and technological development as well as the trends of the economic development at the turn of the 21st century. Based on these dana, the author discerns and forcasts the possible scientific, technological and economic development in the first decades of the 21st century. The author goes from the fact that the modern scientific and technological development in the world willconsiderably the modern economic development. Advanced development in technology results in the globalization of the economic growth, since it enables tremendous flow of information, knowledge, and license, all used as intellectual resources in the economic growth. The scientific-technological development at at the turn of the 21stcentury shall continue in the first decades of the century and shall mark the economic growth as well. In this context, the modern scientific-tehnological development shall induce the development of certain economic activities, and espacially the development of stock exchange and digital economy. These factors shall substantially influence the economic growth of both highly developed and the developing conturies.
