Sažetak
The author offers a wider perspective of scientific and expert research regarding European integration movements and joining strategies of the Republic of Croatia. In that context, the paper consists of, apart from the introduction and conclusion, and a wide usage of literature and documents, ten important parts. First of all, the paper defines the economical essence of integration movements, then shows historical progress of European integration movements, especially the significant realisation of European community as the most important moment in European integration movements, followed by a short review of European integration movement development from the European community to the realisation of the European union. Further on it researches the goals, methods and facts of economical integration movements, the development process of integration movements. Simultaneously, it also researches the character and the meaning of forming a unique European political union and the function principals of EU as a social and political community. Also foreign politics of EU are researched, especially the mutual foreign trading politics, as well as the principals of the mutual foreign politics in EU country members and the mutual solidarity relations. At the end, the paper analyses the strategic fundamentals of commerce development and technical co-operation programme between the Republic of Croatia and EU, including the joining strategies of Croatia into European union.
