Sažetak
The need to interpret the biblical texts in order to understand their meaning and message can already be discovered in the Bible itself. The narrative exegesis underlines the importance of an active role of the reader, whose self-understanding, experience and expectations revive the old text and help the reader to reinterpret himself, his own identity and relation to others through the encounter with the biblical text. The encounter between a biblical text and today's reader can be stimulated in many ways. In this lecture, the use of biblical figures as a medium for establishing communication between biblical texts and the reader is presented and explained by example of using biblical figures in catechetical meetings in women's groups.
