Sažetak
The paper focuses on the doctrine of creation as formulated in the confession of faith at the Fourth Lateran Council, in the decree “Firmiter”. The first part outlines the main ideas of the Cathar dualist doctrine of creation. The second part articulates and interprets the Council’s doctrine of creation with regard to dualist heterodoxy as the immediate cause, as well as its theological and patristic sources. The third part analyses the characteristics of the Council’s doctrine of creation that make it relevant for today’s understanding of faith in God the Creator.
