Sažetak
Migration is a global phenomenon that in some cases riches the point of crises. European countries are faced with last migrant crisis from 2015 when more than 2 million migrants and refugees arrived from Africa, Syria, Afghanistan and other Asian countries. Majority of migrations were man, women, children, and elderly people who were exhausted after long and dangerous journey from the home country to the Europe. Their target countries were Germany, Austria, and Scandinavian countries, but on the land route migrants created so called Balkan route where they shortly stopped or applied for asylum. In order to provide social services and psychosocial support for the migrants and refugees cooperation between social, judicial, health and school systems in receiving countries was needed. Systematic interdisciplinary, individual and holistic approach in order to rich basic needs of migrants is important as well as competent professionals who are able to provide services in these very specific circumstances. Croatia is one of the Balkan countries through which more than 650.000 migrants have been transferred until 2016, when Balkan route was closed. Social services and psychosocial support in Croatia were provided in cooperation with the state and non-government sector.
