Sažetak
There are several reports on incidental finding of gastric carcinoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, carcinoids, and lymphoma. However, preoperative examination of the small intestine is not feasible and colonoscopy is not routinely performed. A question regarding necessity of the inspection of the small intestine in patients undergoing bariatric surgery came to our minds after the case of one patient with incidental carcinoid tumor of the Meckel’s diverticulum.
