Sažetak
In today's age of rapid and unpredictable changes as well as accumulation of ongoing global problems such as environmental destruction and poverty, demands of companies' internal and external stakeholders for implementation and development of socially responsible activities are increasing. The concept of corporate social responsibility in the modern global economic network is a very important factor of company differentiation, and tool of creating competitive advantage, a concept that has undergone many transformations throughout its history. Today it is a vital and inseparable part of business strategy and business model in modern corporations. The goal of this article is to examine whether corporate social responsibility affects, and if it does, to what extent, the reputation of medium-sized and large Croatian export companies with their stakeholders, and consequently the export activities of Croatian companies on the global market. Research will attempt to answer the question of why carrying out and communicating socially responsible activities is important for quality relationships with primary and secondary company stakeholders, regardless of whether small family businesses or large global companies are concerned, and how relationships with stakeholders affect export activity which is defined as the share of export revenue in the overall revenue of middle-sized and large Croatian export companies. Key research questions refer to the process of implementation of social responsibility in the company strategy ; identification of the most important socially responsible activities as seen by the stakeholders ; identification of key communication channels for communicating corporate social responsibility as well as identification of the most influential primary and secondary stakeholders on the export activities of the company. Primary research will be conducted using a structured questionnaire. The collected data will be statistically processed through quantitative econometric analysis that would confirm or deny the existence of a strong correlation between the abovementioned factors.
