Sažetak
Every period of human civilization was, at some point, marked by many great achievements and accomplishments, but unfortunately also by great conflicts. Often, when we think of conflict on a larger scale, we tend to think about war and direct frontal and armed attacks. However, we are often witnesses of other types of conflict, those that often act out in the background of the larger ones, more direct ones, and more visible ones. These background conflicts are so-called paradigm conflicts. Although at first glance these problems seem simple and easy to understand, maybe even solve, the issue is actually multidimensional. In my presentation I will introduce the scientific, philosophical and social dimension of this issue, the fascism of globalization and two important paradigms, the commercial and economy paradigm, that are in the center of this problem. Humans, as beings of nature, are a part of it and cannot expect to survive without it. However, with every passing day humans take more and more actions that in return distance them from it, and consequently humans become its biggest enemy. The main reason for this is human greed and desire to manipulate and control life. One of the best examples of such trends is human relation towards water. In consideration of the multidimensional approach to this issue, the methodological characteristics of the integrative bioethics (that deals with life issues and issues of life’s sustainability) allow us to approach it with pluriperspectivism. In other words, it encourages a variety of scientific disciplines, and all scientific and non-scientific views on life to help solve the concept of the manipulative nature of life.
