Sažetak
One of the main challenges of the islands in European union is to secure sustainable and clean energy for their inhabitants. Although the resources are plentiful, local integration of variable production is a challenge. The paper reviews the body of research on energy storage and synergies between the various sectors that enable the integration of variable renewable energy.
