The image - based production of architecture was legitimated by the rise of Postmodernism during the 1970s. Inevitably, a work of architecture that sets claim to an instant iconic status must rely on immediate perception. In any attempt of reclaiming the project of architecture the veneration of (architectural) icons will hardly be helpful.
