Sažetak
The paper provides a quantitative aspect and a relation between Croatia, the EU and transitional countries through data envelopment analysis (DEA), considering military expenditure and unemployment. The DEA is a relatively new technique that weighs inputs/outputs and ranks the performance of decision making units (DMU), which operate in similar conditions, through linear programming.
