Sažetak
Wheat and maize are the most important arable crops in Croatia. About 615 thousands ha are sawn under these crops which is more than 42% of the total sawn area. About 80% of wheat and 90% of maize production is realized within family farms. Average yields of wheat (3, 89 t/ha) and maize (5.07 t/ha) in this sector are for almost 30% lower than yields achieved in agricultural enterprises.
