Sažetak
Concept of modern boiler power plant represents a set of a large number of elements, whose primary function is the transformation of heat energy given by combustion of fuel into mechanical work and heat. From the humble beginnings of „steam boiler “, named by James Watt, there is a constant need for achieving a larger degree of efficiency, what is successful with the development of technology and application of material with better mechanical, chemical and tribology property. During the construction of welded joints and bevels of elements which will be welded in boiler manufacturing, with experimental and/or calculation, also, it is necessary to take into account all relevant technical regulations and standards in order to achieve all safety and technical conditions for normal and continuous work of facility during the period of exploitation. Introduction of this paper describes the term boiler power plant and pressure part of the boiler. The second part of the paper gives a review of standards which stipulates preparation of ends for welding and manufacturing pressure parts according to EN and ASME standards. Taking into account rules defined and conditioned with technical restrains and manufacturing standards, this paper gives a detail description of bevel preparation for membrane and butt welding and also welding nozzles on headers.
