Sažetak
Aim of this study is to investigate efficiacy of hypericin in treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder and to compare it with efficiacy of fluoxetine, SSRI antidepresant. 34 patients, war veterans suffering from PTSD were included in study. 17 of them had hypericin, and 17 had fluoxetine in therapy during two months. All of them were included in intensive trauma specific group psychotherapy as well. By using Harvard trauma questionare, Hopkins Symtom Check List- 25 and List of side effects, we wanted to find out efects of hypericin and fluoxetine on PTSD symptoms, anxiety and depression one and two months after combined drug and trauma centered psychotherapy treatment. Results shoved no significant differences between two antidepresants on level of anxiety and depression, but there was significant effect on reexpirience and avodidance symptoms in favor of hypericin.
