Sažetak
Today many companies are considering their human capital as competitive advantage and invest a lot in improving employee engagement performance. Well – engaged employees don’t only show up at work but are dedicated to their jobs. The stakeholders are interested in employee retention policy and motivating employees to be creative, proactive and flexible. They want satisfied employees with a good work balance. And the question is how to measure employee engagement. Which factors influence it? Which method or tool to use in order to measure it? Do all stakeholders have the same priorities? In this work we present the data collected during the period of three months in a certain Croatian company about ten factors that we find to be important for employee engagement. We use AHP method for ranking these factors. Based on CEO’s and employees’ subjective rankings the corresponding levels of employee engagement are calculated and compared. At the end our conclusions and suggestions are presented.
