Sažetak
Pervious concrete, also known as permeable concrete is a material with the same basic components as the standard concrete, but designed to have high porosity. This basic property of pervious concrete accounts for its primary advantages and disadvantages. Low mechanical properties, but remarkable drainage properties make it a desirable green pavement solution for specific areas. Properly designed and installed pervious concrete pavement presents an optimal solution for low volume areas and particularly bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. The aim of here presented research is to determine compositions of pervious concrete which enable adequate mechanical and drainage properties. A specific objective is drainage assessment of different pervious concrete mixtures, in order to define its optimal composition. Finally, pervious concrete as a pavement material is characterized utilizing digital image correlation, a new and modern research technique.
