Sažetak
This study explores how Yugoslav policymakers and academics envisaged the position of Yugoslavia in a divided Europe, and what was their vision of pan-European cooperation. It examines the Yugoslav conception of (European) East–West economic integration which corresponded with the unique Yugoslav position in Europe, and the idea of economic integration of the Balkan and Danube region within this vision of a different and much broader conception of European integration.
