Sažetak
The aim of this paper was to investigate how the timing of the great tit breeding varies in relation to the local spring surface temperatures during the 33-year period. Monitoring was done during 1984–2016, in the Mokrice rural area (north western Croatia). Mean surface spring temperature significantly increased by 2.5°C during the research period. Clutch initiation of the great tit significantly advanced by 0.214 days per year. Relationship between spring temperature and laying date was also significant. Results indicate that breeding phenology of the great tit responded to the increasing mean spring surface temperatures in the research area.
