Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to propose routes for bicycle routes based on multi-criteria GIS analysis in an urban and suburban area. The route selection model was used on roads of the small Croatian town Imotski. The model was based on multiple criteria which are both leisure and safety-related. The aim of the model was to connect points of interest in the wider area of the town with bicycle routes. Criteria which affected the decision about the best path were selected according to the tourists’ needs. For the route model production, the ArcGIS software was used. This paper shows that the multi-criteria analysis using GIS software provides a good method for bicycle route planning.
