Sažetak
The starting point of my presentation is a discussion on gender neutrality of science that has been questioned by feminist epistemologists for decades. By taking into account numerous works in the field of philosophy of science, which reveal the shortcomings of dominant conceptions of knowledge, expertise, objectivity and scientific methodology, I will discuss the general position of women in science. I will place the main emphasis on the social and institutional obstacles that women scientists face, glass ceiling being one of them. I will conclude by proposing policy measures for the improvement of the position of women in science.
