This contribution demonstartes the Croatian perspective with respect to the treaties signed with third states in succession matters. It analyses the background, scope and practical impact of the Treaty with the Soviet Union on Legal Assistance through a detailed analysis of conflict of laws and procedural rules of the Treaty that pertain to succession matters.
