Sažetak
It is supposed that Croatia will be for a specific time outside the borders of the European union. Exactly this cognition requires to be stimulant for institutional and developing convergence towards the membership countries of the European union. The development of the economy of the Republic of Croatia, as a target of approaching the European union, should be based on the synchronization of the economy structure accordingly to the world and european market. Moreover, full attention should be directed to the enlargment of the efficiency of the inside market mechanism and the competition capacity for foreign markets. As a result of the process of globalization, today we have surely more freedom in the troughput of goods, services, people and capital, which gives the power to every country, also like that to the Republic of Croatia, to compensate its deficit and to enlarge its prosperity, and hereby to motivate the competition on the market. One of the most intrinsically factors which should be realized into the process of approaching the Republic of Croatia to the European union is the macroeconomic stability, which is also a very significant factor of economic growth. In this work suggestions will be given how to get macroeconomic stability and how to use development opportunities which gives the process of globalization at the same time. It is required to identify models and ways of organizating the croatian economy. accordingly to the comparative advantages and competition capabilities, which will give the power for a faster connection into the system of the European union.
