Sažetak
The provisions of the New Family Act regulating marital partnership and relations between parents and children clearly contain imperfections in both content and form.In particular, consanguineous marriages, the legal status of illegitimate children compared to that of legitimate children, and the prohibition of domestic violence. These problems illustrate omissions in drafting the Croatian Family Act that could be problematic in the future. Such omissions do not, however, detract from the revolutionary and significant changes and overall quality of the New Family Act's statutory regulations regarding family relations. The omissions in the New Family Act are not to be neglected but corrected as soon as possible.
