Sažetak
Four two-port electromagnetic resonant couplers for isolated gate drivers are designed with the resonant frequency of 500 MHz. Each coupler is based on a different architecture and each occupies a different area. An equivalent circuit model is proposed and it is fitted to the Y- and Z-parameters, which are calculated from the S- parameters obtained by the electromagnetic simulations. The couplers are processed on a printed circuit board and characterized by a vector network analyzer. The couplers are compared in terms of the transmission at the resonant frequency, 3-dB bandwidth and area they occupy.
