Sažetak
In this contribution, I consider a relationship between temporality and postyugoslav literature from the point of view of the use of punctuation marks when adding the prefix ‘post’ to ‘Yugoslav’. The analysis involves what theoretical, philosophical and cultural contexts are applied when a hyphen and parentheses are used or omitted in the concept and word formation of the term postyugoslav literature. I try to define how the use and omission of hyphen and parentheses are related to the creation of the concept of postyugoslav literature. I argue that a hyphen and parentheses change their function from being auxiliary typographical devices to playing constitutive roles (‘typogrammatical’, ‘typographeme’) in the formation of postyugoslav literature. Through this account of the punctuation of the prefix ‘post’, I try to show that critical postyugoslav studies require a re- thinking of the notion of temporality.
