Sažetak
This book is a direct link and association to geometric shapes in nature (hence the name Geometry of Nature) and is intended for: all lovers of mathematics, Gifted students (of all ages), Students, Teachers, Parents, where illustrations show how mathematics of the highest levels can be successfully teach to the youngest children, not just in high school or college students. Nature Geometry is dedicated to working with children at level 5 (the highest) outside Hiele's theory as well as the highest level of Bloom's taxonomy. Van Hiele's theory indicates that students in full-time education cannot reach Level 5 while this book enables them ; using this computer and Sketchpad® Dynamic Geometry computer program to reach this unprecedented level of knowledge. Van Hiele's 5th level is in theory designated as: Strictness • Object of thought: deductive axiomatic geometry systems • Product of thought: comparison of different axiomatic geometry systems (Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometries). In particular, a section was written on Gielis's formula as a generalization of the Pythagorean formula and its "connection" with nature (biology!) And trigonometry. Concepts are explained gradually, systematically and in great detail, and with a very large number of examples and tasks it makes it easier and successful to successfully complete a completely new mathematical view of the usual geometric procedures. The content of the book deals with the study and visualization (using Sketchpad®) of the definition of distance and its generalization. All the terms of elementary geometric objects in a plane and their definitions in different geometries are visualized according to the definition of distances in that geometry. Second-order curves are systematically presented, as well as trigonometric functions and their graphs in these other / different geometries, since the comparison of Euclidean geometry with other geometries is continually emphasized in the education of the Republic of Croatia.
