This paper deals with the latest literary and visual art experiment of the Canadian author Diane Schoemperlen, namely of her 2014 book By the Book-Stories and Pictures. I will try to shortly analyze the possible relations between the sampled elements of literary and visual narrative of the fragmented texts and collaged illustrations, and all that from the point of view of the liminality of the literary genre.

This paper deals with the latest literary and visual art experiment of the Canadian author Diane Schoemperlen, namely of her 2014 book By the Book-Stories and Pictures. I will try to shortly analyze the possible relations between the sampled elements of literary and visual narrative of the fragmented texts and collaged illustrations, and all that from the point of view of the liminality of the literary genre.
