Sažetak
This paper aims to provide an open-source laboratory model of a smart sensor similar to those used in IoT environments of smart cities. The idea is to provide educational platform for learning basic metrology concepts, such as uncertainty calculations, simultaneously tied to new technologies. Sample measurement chain is based on air temperature measurement using NTC resistor and ADC. Explanation of used components and reasons why they are used is given. Additional emphasis is made on testing ADS1256 experimental board as peripheral part of Raspberry Pi unit. Current temperature is calculated from samples obtained by ADS1256 locally and sent to open-source cloud along with the corresponding uncertainty data.
