Sažetak
Understanding the internal structure of the proton— that is, how it is built from its fundamental constituents, quarks and gluons—is one of the great challenges of modern high-energy physics. Recently, Burkert et al. determined the quark pressure distribution inside the proton from experimental data on deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) obtained by the CLAS Collaboration, using the parameterization of DVCS structure functions proposed by Kumerički and Müller (KM). This study repeats this procedure using more flexible parameterization by neural networks to improve the analysis of the uncertainty. The obtained results demonstrate that the experimental data used by Burkert et al. are actually consistent with zero quark pressure in the proton.
