Sažetak
Puppets can be used as a teaching aid for any subject. They are particularly appropriate in teaching a language as a first and also all following languages, for pupils and students of various ages, various prior knowledge and various motivations. Puppets can be used in a regular teaching process (teaching one subject throughout the year) or a puppetry workshop can be organized as an independent activity. The paper deals with starting-points for a puppet play, basic puppetry techniques and forms of puppets, the importance of the material, size and proportion of puppets, and differences between a child’s play and a puppet show.
