Sažetak
In this master’s dissertation, the goal is to reconstruct the shape of rooms using acoustic signals. The application at aim is to use room reconstruction algorithms in surround sound systems as the shape of the room influences the sweet spot of the room. The proposed algorithms use time delays to reconstruct the room. Therefore, a peak- picking algorithm is needed to detect the time delay in the room impulse response (RIR). First, only one speaker is used to reconstruct the room. Next, a multiple speaker-algorithm is designed to increase the reconstruction accuracy. The implementations are first tested on simulated rooms and then measurements in real rooms are done.
