Sažetak
The main purpose was to analyse routine workup of patients with seizure in the emergency department (ED). Data analysis was performed on 228 patients who were examined in the ED at the UH Dubrava. Results indicate that there is no indication for CT scan in all patients with seizure in ED, but is strongly indicated in older patients with first focal seizure. There is no need for preventive parenteral administration of AET in ED. The study strongly indicates the need for guidelines for seizure workup in ED.
