Sažetak
Most countries record an increased demand for electricity, which is in contemporary power systems mostly transferred by overhead lines. To meet this increase in demand, the construction of new overhead lines is required. However, in terms of economy and ecology, this solution could be unacceptable so new solutions for increasing the transmission power of the existing lines are considered. In recent years, because of those very conditions, the application of dynamical line rating systems is explored. Their basic scope is to increase the transmission power in periods of favorable weather conditions. This paper is focused on presenting the algorithm, and equipment infrastructure of a sag/tension dynamical line rating system. This system from the sag or tension, line current, ambient temperature and solar radiation intensity measurements calculates in real-time the line ampacity (thermal line rating). Moreover, by installing this system the average conductor temperature of various line tension sections (in which the measurement equipment is placed) is monitored.
