Sažetak
The problem of definition of the geometrical characteristics of the cross section of prismatic intermediate product which contains a nucleus of molten metal is considered. The solution of the nonstationary equation of heat conduction is found in view of phase transformations of metal. Numerical results are obtained by finite elements method. Finite differences are used for the approximation of time.
