Sažetak
By testing plasticity of the steel N-80 ( Č.8380), which is used for the production of special seamless tubes, on torsion plastometr TC-01 ADAMEL LHOMBARGI high plasticity was found in the temperature range 900-1200°C. Two melts with maximum and minimun carbon content were tested and it was found out that plasticity increases with the production level, the lowest is on cast block, and the highest is on tube blank with the production level 1, 5. At the same time these results were compared with the plasticity test results of the third melt N-80, which had been rejected during the production of seamless tubes. Far lower plasticity was established ( the number of twists to failure on the plastometer nL was 4-5 times smaller that with the two previou melta ). The cause of low plasticity was established by detailed metallographic analysis.
