Sažetak
The emergence of modernity turns out to be inseparable from the emergence of the subject. Without the subject's steady commitment to freedom and mobility, modernity could hardly ever have achieved the well-known fluidity of its values. However, faced with the consequences of a globalization unleashed in such a manner, we are called upon to retrace a split hidden in the heart of the modernist process of subjection. This essay is an attempt to search for its roots.
