Sažetak
The paper present advantages of dynamic Reactive Power compensation facilities instead of until now used fixed compensation, as a standard technical solution in railway. Short overview of theory in the field of FACTS device is given. Simulations of these systems have been successfully developed in the MATLAB Simulink program. Some of main part in plant design recommendation is given. Results of simulation was proven true the measurement which was done. Finally, the impact of Reactive Power compensation using FACTS device on the stability of the EPS voltage was evaluated. It is shown significantly reduced cost for over- consumed reactive energy.
