Sažetak
A transparent, blue fluor-apatite from Ipira pegmatite, Bahia, Brazil was investigated. The Ipira apatite deposits are located in the northest area of the Bahia state, Brazil. The apatite occurs in diopside rich pyroxenire and syenitic pegmatites. The major and trace element content in the fluor-apatite was analysed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and by ICP-MS upon laser ablation on solid samples. A qualitative scan by ICP-MS upon laser ablation of solid fluor-apatite shows the presence of U, Th, Pb, Fe, CI and REEs. Due to the uranium and thorium contents, the apatite is distinctly radioactive
