Sažetak
Giant epidote crystals up to 2m long have the fonnula: (Cal.98Mg0.02)Al2.45Fe0.53Ti0.01(SiO4) (Si2O7)(OH) and unit cell parameters: a=8.890(2)A, b=5.634(2)A, and c=10.147(2)A, β =115.40(2)°, and V=459. 1 (2)A3. Epidote is in association with albite, microcline (amazonite variety), muscovite, garnet, titanite and zircon. Crystallization temperature is estimated to be about 400°C on es. the basis of two feldspars thermometer.
