Sažetak
The red colored hematite-bearing granite from Mt. Požeška Gora and albite rhyolite that shows well-exposed phenomenon of columnar jointing from Rupnica locality have similar geochemical signature pointing to highly fractionated and high-temperature A-type of magma. Whole-rock and zircon geochemistry, zircon morphology, Zr-saturation, Ti-in-zircon and apatite saturation temperatures (840−950°C) show characteristics of post-orogenic rocks. Geochemical features of granite and rhyolite indicate the same source of magma origin with both mantle and continental crust contribution. The ascent of magma was localized along the Europe-Adria suture zone (Sava Zone). Zircon ages obtained using LA-ICP-MS (determined from 206Pb/238U, 207Pb/235U and 208Pb/232Th) are almost contemporaneous and are ~82 Ma for the Rupnica rhyolite and ~86 Ma for the Mt. Požeška Gora granite. Studied igneous rocks of the A-type indicate the local tectonic transition from compression to the extension.
