Sažetak
Image binarization as one of the fundamental methods in image processing is mainly used as a preprocessing stage for other algorithms. Here we present a new image binarization method as preprocessing in finding markers such are those used in mobile 3D scanning systems which often operate in adverse conditions such as light reflection. In order to ensure that any user can control such a system, the image binarization as the key starting point of the system must overcome the obstacles created by the reflection of light in the form of stains. The method is directed at the markers area and clearing their areas from the background and ensuring their clear boundaries. Also, the method seeks to preserve compact marker areas without noise as much as possible and that way preserve one connected region per marker. In addition to robustness, the constant algorithmic complexity is an advantage of the proposed method.
