Sažetak
This paper deals with transmission network planning approach based on the economical and technical calculation. For the electric power system present configuration, annual operational costs, hich include fuel costs costs and unsupplied transmission network are detected and profitability of new lines or transformers is estimated. Only economically acceptable new branches are included in a networkconfiguration for the studied year. Technical calculation are done to optimize a voltage profile on the economically acceptable network, and to point on the nodes where shunt capacitor banks or shunt reactor should be installed. Resultsof the economical and technical approach to the Croatian transmission network planning for the year 2005 are given.
