Sažetak
Wireless (and wireline) telecommunications systems have to be considered as a key enabling technologies for Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS). Telecommunications and other ITS ingredients must be treated and designed using common ITS architectural framework and systems methodology. In this paper, ITS Communication Architecture and Network Reference Model are defined and shortly elaborated. Concrete wireless technology for ITS (GPRS over GSM) are recommended as a effective sollutions in next transition period (before UMTS).
